All Children Soar Ahead

While a lot of emphasis, effort, and money (EEM) have been placed on helping no child to be left behind in education, I would hope that the same EEM is placed on helping kids to soar ahead in their educational interests.

Unfortunately, with looming budget cuts in virtually every district and county in the US, this will be more challenging than ever before for schools to achieve.

We at Kids Near and Far understand that educational budget cuts are going to translate into reductions in educational areas such as learning about other countries, peoples and the arts. We believe that signing up for our online classes is one of the best ways to help achieve national standards and/or supplement any cuts that your school might be forced to make in these areas.

Welcome to our Kids Near and Far Podcast, we are a dynamic after school program whose goal is to bring children around the world closer through learning about each others countries.

Our topic for today

The World is a Sandbox.

We see the world as a sandbox in many respects and feel the sooner we all learn to play better together, the greater the benefit to everyone. In our experience, the earlier children learn about other countries, the better they will be able to understand people in those countries and work with them when they are older.

In fact, we felt so passionate about this we started Kids Near and Far. Our goal is to reach more than 1,000,000 children before 2016.

To help us achieve our goal we have partnered with the Peace Corps World Wise Schools Program. This dynamic partnership offers us the opportunity to teach the same class in Delaware as is taught in Australia and to reach more students around the world.

We see that KNAF students are making great strides and will be directly responsible for reducing the amount of sand throwing when everyone is older.
